Msgsrv32 Not Responding When Computer Hangs While Idle

Sometimes when you don't use your computer for some time and keep it idle your computer stops responding and hangs. Microsoft has addressed this issue here http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=169987

"The file 'Asms' on Windows XP Professional CD-ROM is needed"

While installing Microsoft Windows XP, you may receive the following error message: "The file 'Asms' on Windows XP Professional CD-ROM is needed. Type the path where the file is located, and then click OK"
This occurs due to scratches on the CD-ROM or corrupt files on the CD or CD-ROM drive not being able to read from the CD properly. Microsoft has discussed this issue here
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=311755

Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience

Sometimes when we are browsing our hard drive using Windows Explorer or My Computer we get an error message saying "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience". This kind of error message leads to the explorer shutting down. If we notice this happens only when we browse a particular folder. So there is something wrong in this folder, probably a file that is corrupt.

Usually it is a video file present in this folder that causes the Windows explorer to crash. So the only way to get rid of this is to somehow delete or move this file. Browse again to the location on your hard drive and quickly delete the corrupt file present in the folder before the error message prompts again. Ignore the error message and drag the window to the edge of the screen. After having deleted the file the explorer would now function properly. You can do this through MS DOS prompt as well. Changing the folder view to List view and by using windows classic folders might solve your problem without actually deleting or moving the file.
